Brakfontein is a Mohair Empowerment Trust partner for the next 5 years. The Empowerment Trust delivered 300 ewes and 380 kapaters early in 2019.

During April 2019 the farm produced 449,6 kg mohair. George is also running 57ha of irrigation land used for feeding and selling to surrrounding farms.

With the help of the Trust, Brakfontein Farm produced around 900kg of mohair in August 2019  and saw many kids born in 2019.
